DIFFICULTIES OF READING ARABIC AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

This paper aims to investigate the problems associated with reading Arabic as a foreign language. Workers in field of teaching language must have noticed that learners face some lead hindering or slowing down their progress skill. tried pinpoint difficulties non-native learners, and different factors pertaining those problems. An empirical tool, be described below, was used achieve objectives this paper. Despite fact lot work has been done area study, overwhelming majority findings not shown mentioned earlier works. The scope study covered orthographic, phonological, lexical, syntactic, semantic, contextual shaped accuracy, fluency reading, comprehension texts read by students participated study. results showed areas posed real challenge reader; (1) Predicting vowels shape phonological structure word. (2) Determining correct vowel goes second consonants verb-root. (3) tense-subject morpheme present tense. (4) grammatical case endings verbs nouns according function they carry sentence.
